Aliaksandra Basalayeva

Aliaksandra Basalayeva is a perfumer and scent artist from Minsk, Belarus. With background in linguistics and language education, she has always had an interest for the diversity of ways humans express themselves. After moving to New York City, she discovered what has become her major channel for self-expression - perfumery.

Following this path, Aliaksandra obtained her degree in chemistry from CUNY, which allowed her to deepen the fundamental knowledge of fragrance architecture and the science of olfaction. She is currently working on designing her own line of perfumes which explores scent as cross-interpretation of other creative mediums. Intrigued and inspired by various art forms, through her work Aliaksandra is aiming to display their fluidity and leverage the congruity that all creative pieces and genres share.
