Rachel Barfield

Rachel Barfield is an olfactory artist born in Panama with German/African-American roots. Her work is inspired by her background in neuroscience/biology and her current study, Artscience, at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague. Rachel focuses her artistic research on chemical communication and scent language development through researching scent function and its reactionary effects. Her works are often observable through installation.
