Olfactory Art Keller is honored to present Maxwell Williams’ first solo exhibition in New York, CNC Musk Factory. CNC Musk Factory is a place where scent is the punishment, through BDSM sculpture and performance, and sensual consent. Material textural tactile paintings made to smell for eternity; a pillory where you relinquish control of your nose; constraint; pornography; the smell of chains; of malodorants; of power; of submission--can you bottom from the top?

At the center of CNC Musk Factory is Consent is sexy (Vanilla Shit / Pisssss Baby / Period Blood / Cum Party), a sculptural artifact of the performance of the same name. Consent is sexy is surrounded by eight framed fragments of scented artificial leather behind glass from the Constraint forever series.

Another scented leather wall piece, Soul, is dedicated to Jimmy Camicia and Marsha P. Johnson.

Free scented soaps, dedicated to Félix González-Torres, are available as long as supply lasts.

During the opening reception, Williams will perform Consent is sexy, a performance linking scent and shame. Through an absolution ceremony, guests will be invited to confront their most shameful corporeal moments, and given a release from their guilt through masochistic submission while consensually incarcerated in a scent pillory.
