Chibi Lai

Born in 1987 and bred in NYC, Lai studied at The School of Visual Arts with a background in photography. As a form of storytelling, she began conveying imagery and past experiences through scent making. In 2018, she launched LAI Fragrance, a small-batch fragrance oil line based out of Brooklyn, New York. Alternating between the two mediums Lai’s work preserves the notion of fleeting moments and a time in place.
