Eau de Toe Beans (olfactory sculpture)
Every dog owner knows that the best smell in the world is the smell of your dog’s precious paws. “Eau de Toe Beans” is artist M Dougherty’s recreation of the smell of a dog’s paw pads. The reconstruction is based on Dougherty’s research into paw pad microbiomes and on the scent produced by their dog, Earl Grey.
This is not a perfume, but an olfactory sculpture. It was not designed for dogs nor humans to wear it.
Notes: corn chips, acidic, dirt, grass, musk, animalic
Bottle: hand-blown glass from Egypt. Artist unknown.
