Ricardo Ramos
Ramos’ contact with the fragrance industry began more than twenty-five years ago with the raw materials from Quest Int laboratories in Bogotá/Colombia and Ashford/England. Afterwards he had access to the palette of Givaudan in Paris/France, and continued his training in MG Int. laboratories Istanbul/Turkey. His long path through the laboratories has been guided by the hand of his lifelong friend Senior perfumer Jorge Lee, his fellow Colombian and mentor in perfumery and technical partner for product development.
He created his first perfumery line “Agua de Barcelona” in Barcelona/Spain in 2004, and He is the first trained perfumer with Latin American roots owning a niche perfumery house in Europe.
Ramos has studied Fashion (Paris American Academy / Paris-France, city where he also carried out his first olfactory workshops), Classical Tailoring (Westminster / London-England), Antiques in Western Decorative Arts (College of Antiquarians of Barcelona / CENP- Barcelona- Spain), Traditional Indian Textile Design (Lemark Institute / Mumbai-India), Medieval Paleography (Stanford University / California-USA), and Textile Art with a specialty in Conservation of rugs and tapestries (Granada School of Arts and Crafts- Spain). Ricardo Ramos is based in Granada/Spain.
