Fengyi Wang

yi is a thinker, storyteller, and pastry-maker. she performs and curates live performances. she writes random lines, unfinished stories, and letters without stamps. she cooks and makes pastries without recipes. her work centers on body gesture, hidden language, and non-violent collective movement. she is writing a philosophical cookbook and exploring how to code and decode the stories told by the food makers’ moving bodies. she is reading gilles deleuze, bernard stiegler, and gilbert simondon. she is performing a dull persona of a foreigner who struggles to make a living without citizenship and is observing how this character performs. she is going to model, hold a podcast, figure out a way to be a bartender, and continue her nerdy life in academia.
