Emily Voth
A botanical maximalist with monk-like devotion to things which grow from the dirt, Emily Voth has long officiated the marriage of nature and moxie. Emily is a plant perfumer and a skylarking rule ignorer, who believes in the power of scent influence, the supernatural healing frequencies of plants and the wizardry of nature. Always seeking olfactory nirvana, she envisions a time when there will be no synthetics in fragrances – when the world returns to the days of enfleurage, plant extracts, resins, herbs and woods.
Emily is the founder and former owner of Indigo Wild and the brand Zum Bar Soap, which emerged as both cheeky ethos and earnest business model. Indigo Wild unconventionly introduced the magic of raw, natural scent to a broad audience—with over 200 aromatherapy products. Currently, Emily is creating a botanical incense company, Cade Black, launching this fall.
She balances her time between Big Sur for forest immersion and plant harvesting, NYC for art and inspiration, and Kansas City to keep her roots.
