Christina Christie

Christina Christie’s introduction to perfumery was presented as a serendipitous twist of fate. A native New Yorker, her teenage years were informed by diversity, art, and culture. At Sarah Lawrence she received degrees in Political Science and Chemistry. Originally, her intent was to follow her parent’s careers in medicine, instead she had the opportunity to meet master perfumers that introduced her dream career, putting her on a path of formal perfumery training and an internationally diverse career in fragrance. As a seasoned bass player and guitarist, music plays a big role her in life. She likens her perfumery creation to building the perfect band or symphony. Her approach is always evolving; she seeks to remain open to all possibilities in ingredients, tools, and techniques. As a passionate advocate for equality and diversity, she is a founding member of a committee for Black excellence at IFF.
